Oprah Is The Best Celebrity In '06 - Does That Make Her Romantic?

December 2006 Oprah Winfrey took honors in a national survey as "best celebrity" of the year. We at Romances.com think it is well deserved. She has done countless philanthropic and charitable endeavors here in America and the world over. But, does charity equal romance? Our panel of experts shares their thoughts on Oprah's first place finish and what exactly being a good Samaritan can do for one's romance.

Teddy Celeb "Ah… let me think about this for a second… Uh, does it even require any thinking? It is a no brainer. Oprah actually tries to do good things with the power she possesses, and so I think that makes her a romantic at heart. I can't begin to list the philanthropic endeavors she has started and continues to pursue…. This is no contest – her good work makes her more attractive by association. We need more Oprah's and less Britney's running around. I could never imagine Oprah 'forgetting' her underwear like Britney." I think we all agree we would never want to see that happen.

Anita Star "I am not a big Oprah fan… nothing personal. I just don't like talk shows. That being said, I can't think of why she shouldn't be the best celebrity and be romantic… whatever that means. That's like saying I'm not only romantic, but also the best at Romances.com. Isn't it obvious? Anyway, don't good deeds make one more romantic? I'm not sure, but good clothes do - that's for sure." Joe "Papa" Razzi "I will have to put my vote in for Michael J. Fox - not Oprah. He has a freaking disease for crying out loud and it takes guts to be in the limelight showing the effects of Parkinson's disease. He puts issues before himself. You can't say that about too many celebrities… That's why he gets my vote." Too much info, Joe. We wanted to know what you thought about Oprah - but, whatever.
